dc.description.abstract	Definition of the notion, determination of the legal essence and delimitation of the special investigative activity from other types of activity, especially from the criminal prosecution activity, are the fundamental issues the solutions of which the architecture and the quality of the entire system of legal regulations of the special investigative activity rely on, which in its turn, carries out specific tasks related to combating crime. The article presents the authors’ own solutions to these issues, hoping that contradictory private discussions on this topic will come to the forefront of scientific approaches.	en_US
